Airspection is thrilled to announce our recent participation in the Net Zero Technology Centre’s (NZTC) TechX programme, where we were selected as part of Cohort 6. The prestigious programme, hosted in Aberdeen, culminated in an exciting Demo Day—a showcase event that brought together industry leaders, politicians, investors, and the broader TechX community.
Demo Day Success
Demo Day is the pinnacle of the TechX programme, providing startups like Airspection the opportunity to present our innovative solutions to a distinguished audience. The day was filled with presentations, networking, and recognition of the hard work each cohort member has put into their projects over the past months.
We are incredibly proud to share that Airspection was awarded “Pitch of the Day” by the audience, a testament to the impact and potential of our drone inspection technology. This recognition is particularly meaningful given the high caliber of companies and innovations present at the event.
Support and Funding from TechX
As part of the TechX programme, Airspection has previously been awarded £100,000 in funding. This financial support is be instrumental in advancing our customer trials next year, allowing us to further develop and validate our technology in real-world settings.
In addition to the financial backing, the connections we made during the programme have been invaluable. Notably, we established key relationships with Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) and Equinor, both of whom are supporters of the TechX initiative. These connections will play a crucial role in our journey to scale and implement our solutions across the energy sector.
A Memorable Graduation
The graduation ceremony was held at Aberdeen’s iconic Music Hall, where participants celebrated their achievements. The event also included a final networking session, offering one last opportunity to connect with fellow cohort members, mentors, and industry stakeholders.
Though not directly related to the TechX programme, it’s worth mentioning that the day before the Demo Day, Airspection was also awarded “Best Pitch” at the Converge Net Zero pitches held at the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh. This recognition further validates the strength of our pitch and the growing interest in our technology.
As we move forward, we are excited to continue building on the momentum from TechX. The support, funding, and connections we’ve gained will be critical as we prepare for the next stages of our development and bring our innovative inspection solutions to the market.
Stay tuned for more updates and insights from our journey as we work towards a net-zero future!
